  • Years 5 and 6 Fundraiser

    Wed 29 Nov 2023

The children in Years 5 and 6 organised a fundraiser after school this week. It was very well attended so thank you to everyone who donated or came along to spend money. They raised over £250 for their coach travel for their O2 trip—they are preforming a show to be performed in front of large audience in the O2 Arena. This will be a brilliant experience for them and past pupils still talk about it being one of their favourite trips!

  • Football Results

    Fri 24 Nov 2023

Both of our football teams have started their seasons over the last couple of weeks. The boys have played their first three fixtures. They have always represented the school in a lovely manner and have tried their best. Our “Players of the Match” for the first three matches have been; Jacob - for excellent goal keeping skills in our first match, Leyton - for excellent runs in our second match and never stopping and in our last match was Dolly—who worked extremely hard and stepped up to play on this team league. The girls have played two of three arranged matches, both of which have been wins! The girls have always represented the school amazingly well and have shown good spirit especially coming back in our first game to win. Our players of the match for the first two matches have been; Kali - for excellent dribbling and running up the wing she was unstoppable and the second player of the match was Hameedah—who was fantastic and has improved dramatically since the first game of the season. Well done to both teams—keep it up!

  • Year 6 Trip to Bletchley Park

    Tue 14 Nov 2023

On Tuesday Year 6 visited Bletchley Park as part of their topic on WWII. It was a brilliant day out learning about the codebreakers and their vital role in the war. The children got to see where they worked, including stepping into Alan Turning's office, and learnt all out about breaking the Enigma code was a turning point. They even got to have a go at translating coded messages, as well as have a go on an actual Enigma machine.

“Congratulations! On behalf of the Tesco Stronger Starts scheme, I am pleased to offer Chambersbury Primary School a grant of up to £1,000” This is amazing for our school! Thank you to everyone who voted for the school while shopping at Tesco! We especially thank our parents who work at Tesco who supported our application and made the school aware of the scheme.

  • Year 3 & 4 Trip to Chiltern Open Air Museum

    Wed 08 Nov 2023

It was very wet (but thankfully not cold) when Years 3 and 4 visited Chiltern Open Air Museum this week. Both classes completed workshops to support their history topics of the Stone Age and Anglo Saxon Britain. Year 3 were taught how to hunt, created their own Stone Age art work and made Stone Age tools. Year 4 discussed how to find evidence from the past and created their own message using runes. Runes were all made of straight lines, which made them easier to carve.
