Children in the Nursery learn through play and exploration. We ensure learning is fun and that children enjoy and are engaged in lots of opportunities, both inside and outside. We plan activities based around the seven areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage. The three prime areas are: Communication and Language, Physical development, Personal social and Emotional development and the four specific areas are: Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, Expressive Arts and Design.

Staff in Nursery are: Miss Elias (Class teacher), Miss Wells and Mrs Dancer.

Important days:

Monday - Please hand in home learning

Tuesday - Parents are invited to support their child during busy fingers, show and tell

Wednesday - Nursery PE session (No PE kit needed)

Thursday - Book change day (parents are invited to come and support their child to choose a book)

Friday - home learning sent out

Every Friday one of the children will receive a show and tell slip asking them to bring something in to show and share with the class the following Tuesday. Please ensure that no toys are brought in to school on any other day than your child's show and tell session.
