Reception

In reception our teacher is Miss Alford and our teaching assistants are

Mrs Stephens, Ms Wallis and Miss Moss.

 

The Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum

The EYFS consists of four guiding themes; A Unique Child, Positive Relationships, Enabling Environments and Learning and Development. The Learning and Development theme is made up of 7 areas.  There are 3 prime areas; Communication and Language, Physical Development and Personal Social and Emotional development. There are 4 Specific areas and these are Literacy, Maths, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts and Design.

We support children engaging in play and exploration promoting active learning. We also encourage children to be creative and think critically. 

Things to remember... 
Reading books will be changed on a Monday and a Thursday.


Our PE day is on a Thursday but please ensure your PE kit is in school ready to use all week.

 

                                                                                                                                                             

Homework and new phonic sounds are given out on a Friday and collected in on a Thursday.
