My Traumatic Hide and Seek Experience...

All the children are told to go hide in the playground by Miss Cahill. The children are blabbering in the playground, confused on where to hide. However, I knew exactly where I wanted to go; the bush in front of the Year 4 classroom. I was confident that the seeker would not find me. Well, that confidence became a reality. The now distant blaring faded away as I settled in my hiding spot.

After a few minutes, I hear footsteps. Oh no. Did the seeker find me? I didn't breathe. The thought ran away from my mind as I thought it was just another class. Little did I know, Year 5 were lining up. I did not realise this.

15 minutes later..

Now I was really getting worried. Silence. Did the game finish? Should I get out? No. I can't. I HAVE to win this game. I was determined to do so. As I make up my mind, I decide let all my thoughts slip away as I just sat there, my eyes fixed on a spider crawling on its web.

5 minutes later...

My attention is taken away from the spider as I attend to the sound of a blaring machine. Still, I sat there mindlessly contemplating on what this sound is. Then it hit me.

A Lawn Mower.

That was it. I had to get out. I didn't care if I won or not. I just didn't want to die. I rushed out the bush running past a confused Mower. I rush to the field to my class. They were not there. Where were they? Had they left me?

As I turn around I come to the surprise of my class waving at me through the window. I let out a sigh of relief. Mrs Wilson came out to get me and I go inside to get changed.

P.S: The sad thing is they found my bottle and realized I was missing but they didn't even bother to come and find me.indecision

I started reading this book called the demon headmaster and now I want to make a review so other people will enjoy as much as I did and it’s about a girl called Dinah Glass. She gets adopted and then starts her first day at school and notices there is something very strange.

 Problem

The headmaster notices that Dinah is trying to stop her but lets her sleep through the morning with not even waking her up. Something isn’t right Harvey and Lloyd are annoyed Dinah is actually not telling the truth about what happened at school and Lloyd and Harvey don’t know the headmasters the demon not her.

Summersaults and Dreams

Rosie’s book review

Book: Summersaults  and dreams

Author: Cate Shearwater

Do you love or even just like gymnastics? If you do then this book review is for you. Are you thinking what is she talking about? Well I’m talking about Summersaults and dreams, the only book that lets you wonder off into the world of gymnastics.

The first time I read Summersaults and dreams was in August 2020. It’s a book about a Cornish girl who grew up by the sea. She has a little sister who supports her in everything. They both love gymnastics. She started to do gymnastics when she was very young. Her name was Ellie Trengilly. Ellie did loads of competitions and ended up winning 1st and 2nd place! This book is a series of three- they are Making The Grade, Rising Star and Going For Gold.

In Making The Grade she is offered a place at the prestigious London Gymnastics Academy. She finally has a chance to make her dream come true… but she has lots of obstacles to overcome, new friends to make and plenty of rivalries to face!

In the next book (Making The Grade) British Champs are looming and Ellie is desperate to qualify. But she is finding it hard to stand out. Will hard work be enough, or will Ellie find something more to make her performance shine?

I love this book series so I would rate it 5/5

Freaky Frankenstein

Tiana’s book review

Book: Frankenstein

Author: Mary Shelly

Do you like fun, interesting freaky and historical things like I do?

If so, this is the book for you. Make sure to read this book!

I absolutely love historical things so this is the perfect book for me. This is a bit gory but it is a really good book. I also love science and these two themes are big parts of the story. There is a monster and scientist the scientist's life goes very wrong!

I think that anyone could grow to like this book. There are a lot of things that will make you think like: Who is the real monster? Should we play God? Is society cruel to people that look different?

I would give this book 5 STARS *****

Is he actually demonic?

The best school I have ever been to…

Book: The Demon Headmaster.

Author: Gillian Cross

The first time I ever read the demon headmaster was in 2021. I’m still reading this book but I love the book! If you like reading a book about mysteries then this defiantly the book for you to read!

This book starts with a young girl who lived in a foster home and got adopted by the Hunters who is called Dinah Glass or Dinah Hunter-Glass. Now, I love this book because you never know what’s going to happen next! Dinah gets two brothers named Lloyd Hunter and Harvey hunter. Lloyd is the brother who still hasn’t accepted Dinah into the Hunter family although, Harvey is the other brother who treats Dinah as his own biological sister.

Dinah finally enters the gates of her new school. At first, she expected kids shouting and running around like in normal schools but she didn’t hear or see that in the school. Instead she sees the children chanting what they learnt the other day! As you can tell this isn’t normal for a school. Especially in a primary school.

Since you probably haven’t read the book, I don’t want to give you anymore spoilers. You might not agree but I think this book is absolutely fabulous!  The age expectation or rating for this book is 8 and over though. There about 15 chapters in the book and I give it a 10 out of 10! By the way, this book may might be confusing at the start but it will get less confusing.

The link to the author’s page is here. I hope you enjoy reading this book!
