Keep up to date with all the news happening in school at the moment.
We are delighted to announce we have another Jubilee art competition winner! Lilian was surprised in assembly by our special visitors; Deputy Lieutenant Akhtar Zaman, Deputy Lieutenant Marion Brown and Councillor Terry Douris. Lillian was presented with a Jubilee teddy and book along with her certificate. Akhtar and Marion explained to the whole school about the role of the Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire and about the deputies who support.
The Lieutenancy of Hertfordshire Jubilee Art Competition received thousands of entries from primary schools around the county and Lilian was one of the winners. This was such a special assembly for Chambersbury and one we will remember for years to come.
This week Year 5 and 6 performed their version of the Legend of King Arthur.
The play followed a young and reluctant King Arthur who needed to put a ROCK band together and beat King Lot! It ended with a spectacular ‘sing off’! Everyone at Chambersbury is so proud of the children who, as a team, put on a wonderful show! It was amazing and really showcased the talent we have at our school!
A special well done to all the soloists, duets and children who ‘stepped’ in at the last moment to cover parts! A big thank you to the Year 5 and 6 teaching team—you really pulled out all the stops for this one!
Thank you to everyone involved in making sports day such a successful event– spectators, staff, children and students from Longdean (in the afternoon). The weather was on our side too as the rain stopped for the races! It was lovely to welcome families onto the field for a very special picnic.
Sports Day was won by Green House (Elf Owls). Congratulations to the whole of Green House!
