Year 2 Sports Competitions

This half term has been very athletic in the Year 2 classroom. We have been lucky enough to take part in three DSSN events; a Tri-Golf tournament, Sports Festival and a Virtual Great Run.

At the Tri-Golf tournament we were able to take part in a carousel of activities to score as many points as we could using different golf skills. We really enjoyed taking part in the competition. We tried our very hardest to get the most points and we came 4th out of the schools in Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted that took part. Well done Year 2!

Last Monday we went to Sportsspace in Boxmoor for the annual Year 2 Sports Festival. It was very exciting as we were able to take part in a variety of different skills. Some of them we had done before and others we had not. We even learnt a fantastic dance routine to Can't Stop the Feeling by Justin Timberlake, which our very own Mr Timberlake thoroughly enjoyed.

Ben from Year said 'I really enjoyed doing the activities, especially the one where we had to do the course of different things in a circle'

Last week Year 1 and 2 also took part in a Virtual Great Run. All the boys and girls took part trying to get the fastest time around the 300m course. Although we took part at Chambersbury, the other schools in Hemel Hempstead took part.  We will let everyone know the results soon!
