Welcome to Year 5!

 

In Year 5, our teacher is Miss Schofield. On Thursdays we are taught by Mrs Good. We are supported in our learning by Mrs Wilson and Miss Gleave.

 

Some useful information: 

  • PE - PE lessons will be held on Monday and Wednesday. Please ensure that you have your full PE kit in school every day as lessons may change due to weather etc. PE kits will be sent home on a Friday and must be returned to school on Monday. 
  • Reading - Reading records will be checked every day and children are expected to read 5 times a week. Book change will be on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Children can read books from home if they finish their school book and can comment on these in their reading record. 
  • Homework - Homework will be sent out on Friday and is to be completed by Tuesday. You will receive 1 piece of maths homework (reflecting the week's learning or consolidation of past concepts), times tables and spellings. Spellings will be tested on Friday morning.
