Welcome to Year 2!
Our teacher is Mrs Gardner. We are supported in our learning by Miss Fawkes.
Key Information
- PE: From September our usual PE days will be a Tuesday and Thursday. Please be aware this may change to due to the weather so PE kits must be in school every day. Please make sure your trainers are in school every day.
- Reading: Children will have two books to bring home, one decodable reader from our ELS phonics scheme and they will choose one from the school library. Please read with your child 5 days a week and sign in their record. Children can read a mixture of their school books and books from home, but please record this in their reading record books to help teachers see what the children are enjoying reading.
- BOOK CHANGE: We aim to change books on a Friday, but this is subject to change if necessary.
- Homework: Homework will set on Google Classrooms on a Friday and is due in on Tuesdays. There will be one 15 minute maths task (linked to the week's learning or key skills) and spellings. Children will be tested on their spellings on a Friday.
