Children are accepted into Reception class in the September of the school year they are 5.
Applications for admission into primary schools to start in September 2025 are for children born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021.

Parents are informed by HCC of allocations following the closure of the admissions process in the year of Reception admission.
We invite children to visit with their parents, see their new classroom and meet their new teacher, the term before admission. In addition, an evening meeting for parents is organised a few weeks before new children are due to enter school, so that they can meet other parents and have any questions answered by the staff.
