Outdoors & Enrichment

A rich and varied curriculum for all!

We believe, that to become well rounded members of society, learners should have an understanding of the world around them. We offer a variety of enrichment activities including off site visits. We passionately believe all young people deserve exposure to a wide range of opportunities that raise their aspirations and help them find their place in the world.

At Chambersbury we passionately believe that our learners deserve access to a wide, rich and varied programme. It is central to our ethos that we ensure our learners have enrichment opportunities as well as exposure to the benefits of learning outdoors.  In order to raise aspirations and cultivate that understanding we have a wide variety of enrichment activities as part of our curriculum.

It’s not just Chambersbury School that ask for support… most schools use a BIG EXPERIENCE to excite the children and motivate learning.

We rely on parent voluntary contributions to bring experiences alive!

What if you don’t pay? It is a VOLUNTARY contribution after all!

For some National Curriculum trips and activities the school may ask for a voluntary contribution. This would go towards the cost of the coach, tour guide, insurance or the activity. At Chambersbury, we are dedicated to bringing these experiences to life that we subsidise many of the trips planned.

This is called voluntary because we cannot and WOULD NOT exclude children from our curriculum. If children don’t pay they have to go on trips even though they haven’t paid – or no one goes. These are the rules which govern us. We cannot and would not individually penalise a child’s education.

"Pupils at Chambersbury Primary School receive a good quality of education. They know staff want them to do well." OFSTED, November 2022
