History

My Family History

We will be exploring changes within living memory.  Our focus will be on changes that have taken place in the home and in school and comparing them to modern day; and on learning to understand the experiences of people from the recent past, such as our parents and grandparents, and understanding how their lives were different and how things have changed.

Herts Museum Visit - Toys from the Past

Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed their workshop exploring a variety of toys from the past. They had hands-on experience exploring a selection of push and pull, optical, mechanical and building and construction toys. This gave valuable insights into understanding the difference between the toys they use now and those from the recent past.
