Welcome to Year 3!

In Year 3 our teacher is called  Mrs Chapman-Cotter. We also have Mrs Berridge, Mrs Stephens and Miss Barden who support us with our learning.

  • PE lessons are on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Friday, our PE kits should be brought in on Monday and kept at school all week. Please make sure your child has their outdoor PE kit with them every day as we aim to go outside for PE at least once per week.
  • Homework is set every other Friday and is due in on Wednesday. Spelling is sent home every Friday and should be brought back the following Thursday for more spellings to be put in.
  • We change reading books on Monday, Wednesday and Friday but we can read any of our books at home too. We should read at least five times during the school week and once over the weekend. The record will be seen by an adult everyday.
  • If you would like your child to have a snack at break time, please make sure your child brings one with them to school. The snack should be healthy, for example, without chocolate chips.

If you would like to practise handwriting with your child at home, www.teachhandwriting.co.uk is great for demonstrating letter formation and joins.

This link is a great resource for helping your child practise their times tables at speed, in case they'd like to mix up their times tables homework!

This is a fun, superhero-themed workout to help your child keep fit and healthy! You'll also find other, child-friendly workouts available for free on this website under the name 'Born 2 Move'.

Our favourite links - Play games, and visit cool websites.

Remember: these are web sites we don't control, so be sensible. If you ever see something that worries you make sure to tell an adult.

Due to the changing weather, please ensure your child wears a coat and sensible shoes to school.
