All school uniforms help to promote the identity of that school and are one of the most immediate ways in which a child identifies itself as being part of that community. We want children to be proud of their school and strongly encourage uniform to be worn, seeing it as a reflection of the positive ethos of our school. Our uniform has been designed to be comfortable, practical and smart.
Grey/Black skirt, trousers, shorts or pinafore dress
Red and white school dresses in the summer
|
White polo shirt (with school logo optional)
|

All our uniform, clothing and bags can be obtained from local shops and supermarkets without logos.
The following uniform is available online from our school supplier Brigade and is optional.

The school does have pre-loved uniform sales throughout the year. These are advertised in the school's newsletters and events.
Changes to Uniform policy from September 2024
In order for children to be able to get outside every day we are adding some new items to the uniform policy that children will need to have in school every day from September 2024:
-A pair of named welly boots
-A named waterproof coat
PE and Games kit
For Physical Education lessons all children are expected to change so that they can move freely. Please ensure this kit is in everyday.
Jewellery can not be worn. If earrings are worn, they must be removed on P.E or swimming days. |
Please may we request that all your child’s clothes and P.E. kit are marked with your child’s name. Our `Lost Property’ box is overflowing with unnamed clothing that nobody recognises!
Big bags should not be used for PE kit. P.E bags, on a string, are ideal. They can be easily hung on cloakroom pegs. For the playground, a sun hat is required in summer, and warm clothes and sturdy shoes for winter. We ask for your co-operation in all school uniform matters.
Jewellery
For safety and security reasons no jewellery should be worn except for ear studs. Hooped or dangling earrings must not be worn. If a child arrives at school wearing either of these earrings or any other jewellery, he/she will be asked to remove the items. If a child is unable to do this, then the parent will be asked to remove the items. Ear studs and watches must be removed before a child participates in PE and Swimming lessons (not taped up). Watches, if worn to school, are the child’s own responsibility at all times. The school does not take responsibility for personal items if lost or damaged.
Shoes
Children are required to wear sensible, dark coloured shoes (not trainers) to and from school. Trainers may changed into and worn at playtimes. Socks and tights should be plain black or grey.
School Bags
Children should only bring bags into school when they have items that are needed for the school day. Bags should be either rucksacks or satchels and a draw string bag for P.E and swimming kits.
