Home Learning

Home Learning - Weekly Timetable

We will upload a weekly timetable outlining the learning tasks that need to be completed at home each day. This will be uploaded every Monday morning and the resources for each task, as well as more instructions on how to complete these, will be hosted on your year group's Zoom meeting.

Remote Learning

If you are unable to attend school due to coronavirus, there are various ways we can support you so can keep learning at home.

  • Continue regular reading at home. Remember, books and comics from home count as well.

         https://home.oxfordowl.co.uk/

The link above can support reading at home.

  • Log onto Espresso to work on basic English and maths skills.

  • Follow the link www.thenational.academy who have daily lessons for maths, English and other subjects for each year  group which can be followed.

Information for Parents

Any problems with logging on please contact the school office. Anyone having difficulty accessing technology for learning or accessing their class’s learning would be provided with a home learning pack on request in any of these scenarios. This would be sent or delivered to the main address we have on file. Your child’s class page has links to the online services.

REMEMBER: EYFS parents can log onto ‘Evidence Me’ for learning ideas and to upload home learning.

Supporting Children's Wellbeing

Hertfordshire Libraries would like to remind schools and families about the Reading Well for Children collection of books. These are books chosen by experts to help parents and carers to discuss the difficult issues with their children and support children’s mental health and wellbeing. The books are free to borrow and are available on the open shelves of local public libraries. The booklist is targeted at children in aged 7-11 and includes a wide range of reading levels to support less confident readers. You can find the booklist below or click here: https://reading-well.org.uk/books/books-on-prescription/children

Visit www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/libraries  to find out about current opening hours. Library staff will be very happy to show customers where they can find the collection or help order it in from another library.
