This morning in assembly Year 6 got a lovely surprise. They received a letter from 10 Downing Street! They have been researching the topic of Climate Change and wrote letters to the Prime Minster, Rishi Sunak, about their concerns. They received a response which thanked the children for writing about an important issue and how the Government welcomes the progress made at COP27 but recognises there is more work to be done! The letter ends thanking the children for doing their “bit and raising awareness of climate change.” This is a great example of how learning can inspire and make changes outside the classroom and make a real difference to the planet! Well done Year 6.
