Year WWII Rationing

This week Year 6 finished their history topic on WWII: The Home Front by testing out some ration based recipes. They made eggless, low sugar, low butter chocolate cake, tea and sultana cakes and cheese and potato dumplings. The worked hard to measure out ingredients, but learnt first hand the importance of knowing the difference between tea spoons and table spoons! Overall the tea and sultana cakes came out on top, with lots of the children wanting to try making them again at home.

"Pupils at Chambersbury Primary School receive a good quality of education. They know staff want them to do well." OFSTED, November 2022
