Virtual Visitors
This week Year 1 and 2 had some visits to help in their learning.
Year 1 had a special Zoom call from some keepers at Whipsnade Zoo, who talked to them about different animals and the types of food they would eat. They were shown some skulls and the keepers explained how their skull and teeth helped show whether the animals were carnivores, herbivores or omnivores. The children got to ask questions and even had a tour round the chimpanzees!
Year 2 received some videos from Rev. Howlett to help with their RE learning. Normally, Year 2 would visit St. Benedict's Church but, as that isn't possible at the moment, they sent in some questions for Rev. Howlett who replied with some brilliant answers. The children really enjoyed watching them and hearing from a local vicar. They even wrote some thank you messages!
Thank you to both Whipsnade Zoo and Rev. Howlett for helping support the children's learning.
