NSPCC: Speak out. Stay safe.

We were joined by Diana and Emma from the NSPCC for two key stage assemblies about their "Speak out. Stay safe." campaign. We met Buddy the mascot and we're reminded that all children have the right to:

  • Speak out and be heard
  • be safe
  • get help when they need it

We thought about the worries we might have and the trusted adults we can talk to about these. We also looked at definitions of different types of abuse and discussed these.

They told us about childline a service for when we don't feel we can talk to a trusted adult or a teacher.

You can phone childline on 0800 111 or visit the website www.childline.org.uk

"I think it's good that the phone number is easy to remember, is on 24 hours a day and is free because it means you can get in contact if you need it" - Sonny

"We learnt about different kinds of bullying and ways we can deal with that which is really useful." - Mazie

"Pupils at Chambersbury Primary School receive a good quality of education. They know staff want them to do well." OFSTED, November 2022
