Mental Health Awareness Day is an important opportunity for us to check in with ourselves, our children and staff and to think about what we can do to promote good mental health in our school. World Mental Health Day happened on Monday 10 October and we used this as a starting point for our assemblies for the week. Therefore, continuing our work to make mental health a priority in our school.
Our assemblies included simple wellbeing activities that the children and staff team can do to promote positive mental health. One of these was completing a whole school "Run Together" at the start of the day. A little bit of exercise can do wonders for our mental wellbeing, so we regularly add some movement into the normal school day!
For assembly, the whole school gathered on a cold but bright Tuesday morning for a morning run to get the energy levels up and start the day in a positive way. Yes! - the staff and Mrs Chapman included! It was wonderful to see all the whole school joining in and a great way to get our minds ready for the day ahead.
