Digging for Victory at BFI

On Tuesday 16th January 2018, Year 6 visited BFI Southbank in London for an incredible History lesson on World War 2. Using movies, news clips and an interview with an evacuee -who experienced the blitz and had to move because of the bombings - we learnt lots about propaganda, personal experiences of the war and the impact on people in Britain.

In the afternoon we watched the moving film Good Night Mr Tom. Samir reflected, “I loved it but it was sad at the same time.” Fajar added, “I learnt how bad the war was and that it caused more pain than just the killing.”

Please remember the Bank Holiday on Monday 2nd May (so the school is closed) and this half term ends on Thursday 26th May at 3:15pm.
