Christmas hit Chambersbury at the start of December when the children helped to decorate their classrooms and the school hall. They gathered in their house groups (across many classrooms so we could reduce contact) to create their Christmas displays which really brightened up the hall, ready the Christmas Bonanza!
This year, Nursery, Reception, Years 1 and 2 gave us all such a magical treat with their Christmas Bonanza! A combination of the traditional nativity, mixed with some carols, poems and thoughts around Christmas. All their hard work was seen in their performances and I know everyone that saw it loved every second.
We also managed to visit St Benedict's church for a Christmas celebration as a school with Rev. Lizzie Hood. We sang some carols and shared some readings and thoughts about Christmas.
To finish the term, the children also got to enjoy the annual staff Christmas performance - this year it was the nutcracker. There were lots of laughs all around! We also sang The Twelve Days of Christmas in house groups on the playground, but it was too close to decide who sang it best!
