Welcome to Year 1!
In Year 1, our teacher is Mrs Dibble. We also have teaching assistants called Mrs Steel and Mrs Dancer.
Some useful information:
- PE - PE lessons will be held on Mondays and Tuesdays. Please ensure your child comes in their full PE kit on those days. Please make sure your child can remove their earrings themselves or take them out before school.
- Reading - Reading records will be checked every day and children are expected to read 5 times a week. Book change will be on a Friday. Children will be given a reading book to practise and a sharing book to read with an adult at home. Children can read books from home if they finish their school book and can comment on these in their reading record.
- Homework - Homework will be set on a Friday and checked on the following Wednesday. You will receive 1 piece of maths homework (reflecting the week's learning) and and a phonics task.
