Welcome to Year 1!

 

In Year 1, our teacher is Miss Elias. We also have teaching assistants called Miss Maidment and Miss Fawkes.

 

Some useful information: 

  • PE - PE lessons will be held on Tuesday and Thursday. Please ensure that you have your full PE kit in school every day as lessons may change due to weather etc. PE kits will be sent home on a Friday and must be returned to school on Monday. Please make sure you can remove any earrings yourself or take them out before school. 
  • Reading - Reading records will be checked every day and children are expected to read 5 times a week. Book change will be on a Thursday. Children will be given a reading book to practise and a sharing book to read with an adult at home. Children can read books from home if they finish their school book and can comment on these in their reading record.
  • Homework - Homework will be set on Google Classroom on Friday and checked on the following Wednesday. You will receive 1 piece of maths homework (reflecting the week's learning) and and a phonics task.
