Earth and Space: Out of this World!
This is our Autumn 1 topic.
Year 5 have been exploring our solar system, the planets within them and how they orbit each other. We used tissue to demonstrate the distance of planets from the sun and investigated why we have day and night. We discussed the different types of orbit (Geocentric and Heliocentric) and wrote a moon fact file describing the phases it goes through and about its surface.
