n Year 5, our teachers are Mrs Gallagher and Miss Fawkes. We are supported in our learning by Mrs Gavin and Mr Timberlake.

Information about our week:

PE - PE lessons will be held on Monday and Friday. Please ensure that children have their full PE kit in school every day as lessons may change due to weather etc. PE kits will be sent home on a Friday and must be returned to school on Monday. Please make sure your children can remove any earrings themselves or they can take them out before school. 

Reading - Reading records will be checked every day and children are expected to read 5 times a week for 20-25 minutes. Book change will be weekly on Wednesday and Thursday. Children can read books from home if they finish their school book and can comment on these in their reading record. Children will be expected to complete a short comprehension quiz in school linked to their book once they have finished it.

Homework - Homework will be set on Mathletics and Spelling Shed weekly on Friday. The children will be set a short maths task and spelling task (reflecting this week's learning or consolidation of a previously learnt concept) and are also expected to practise times tables on TT Rockstars and to read daily. If you cannot access your child's homework, please speak to your class teacher.
