World Book Day
World Book Day was on Thursday and in the evening we had fun turning our classrooms into special story time dens! We had a great response with 130 children returning to school in their bedtime wear! Many thanks to the staff who stayed after dark to read stories and prepare the important hot chocolate treat!
Magic and Muggles then also happened on Friday at Chambersbury! We had great fun celebrating this special day by dressing up, visiting our new library and our assembly to find out what teachers are currently reading. As briefly mentioned above, we have just opened our new library! Just in time for World Book Day! The area outside the computer suite has been redesigned and book shelves moved from throughout the school into one place. Books are still accessible in the classroom but the bulk of the library is now in a newly decorated space. Ms Cooper and Mr Phillips have worked extremely hard to create an area to promote the love of reading!
