At Chambersbury Primary School, we use the PE and Sport Premium funding to improve the quality of Physical Education, school sport and physical activity for all pupils. Our expenditure is focused on providing high-quality PE teaching through staff training and specialist coaching, ensuring lessons are engaging, inclusive, and progressive. Funding also supports the purchase and maintenance of equipment and resources, allowing children to take part in a wider range of sports and activities safely and confidently. Through initiatives such as Active 60 and our Daily Mile programme, Run Together, pupils are encouraged to stay active every day and develop positive habits for lifelong fitness. We also provide opportunities for children to experience a wide range of different sports and activities, helping them discover new interests and talents beyond the traditional PE curriculum. Our Healthy Living Enrichment Week further promotes the importance of physical activity, wellbeing, and making healthy lifestyle choices. We use the premium to increase participation in competitive sport, after-school clubs, and active play opportunities, helping pupils to develop teamwork, resilience, and resilience. The impact of this investment is seen in improved pupil confidence, higher levels of physical activity, greater participation across all year groups, and stronger staff confidence in delivering high-quality PE lessons that create lasting positive attitudes towards sport, health, and wellbeing.
