On Wednesday afternoon we explored our 'bird watching' theme in a variety of ways. First, we considered the different statistics relating to a variety of common garden birds by playing a game of Garden Bird Top Trumps! (Some people had more success in this game than others...)
Then, we thought about how during the Winter, it's much harder for birds to find food, so we created our own 'pastry maggots' using flour and trex (vegetarian lard, in case you're wondering). In true cooking style, it looked like it wasn't going to work before it did, but as you can tell from the photos, the birds appreciated our gift!
