PE at Chambersbury Primary School
PE at Chambersbury is an embedded part of our school life. We aim to provide every pupil in our school with the
opportunities to take part in physical activity and to challenge themselves whilst learning new skills. We promote health and well-being in our pupils lives through our Healthy Living Week programme and also through our inclusive curriculum. We are using nationally recognised awards with our pupils, such as the UKA Endurance Awards and the Sports Hall Athletics awards, which give us the opportunity to engage all our pupils and for them to achieve.
We encourage our pupils to take part in as many activities that are available to them and run clubs that are specifically designed to engage specific year groups or Key Stages. This has included clubs for all our children, from those in our Reception class all the way through to Year 6, and we hold a high participation rate for all.
As a school we are making use of Specialist skills with our dedicated Sports Assistant who, alongside the teaching staff, delivers a large percentage of all PE lessons along with the After School sports clubs. As the Subject Leader, she also oversees all PE activity within the school to ensure we deliver the highest quality learning possible.
We are a recognised school in the Dacorum School Sports Network and regularly take part in competitions designed for all ages of pupil. If you click the links below you will see a round up of all our competitions for the school year and also our newsletters.
