Our Amazing World (Summer)

In this term we'll be finding out more about our amazing world, including how and why natural disasters - like earthquakes and volcanic eruptions - occur. We'll also be developing our map-reading skills to help us find out more about the other fascinating countries on our planet.

So far this topic we have been learning about atlases and how they can be used to tell us more information about the world around us.

We have used them to identify the different continents and oceans, we have found the Tropics of Cancer, the Tropics of Capricorn and the Equator and identified countries on them.

We have also thought of our own ways of remembering 'North, East, South and West' - the most controversial one being 'Never Ever Support Watford'! We also quite liked 'Never Eat Saif's Wotsits'... consider us warned!

Our Amazing World links

Below are some links about our topic you might enjoy looking at. Remember: these are websites we don't control, so be sensible. If you ever see something that worries you make sure to tell an adult.
