Year 5/6 Saracens Tag Rugby Festival

On the morning of the 11th of February some children from Year 5 and 6 went to Camelot Rugby Club to play Tag Rugby.  It was a swirling haze of children.  Our first match was against The Reddings and the final score was 5-3 to The Reddings.

We had some lunch and then we were back playing again.  THis time it was against Greenways but sadly we lost with a score of 3-2.  Although we are obviously the best tag rugby team ever we did not make it through to the semi finals.

By Kerri and Ollie.

Mr Yoxall's notes:

From our team of children that went to the tag rugby we had a number of pupils who had not represented the school in a sports fixture before.  It was fantastic to see them step up and perform well whilst displaying that they were from Chambersbury.

The children played 5 games at the tournament and unfortunately did not secure a win.  They came close and had chances but were held each time.  They drew two games and lost three.

This has been a great warm up for them playing in the DSSN tag rugby league after the half term break.

Well done everyone!
