Year 5/6 Football vs South Hill

On Friday 29th January, we had an unexpected football match when South Hill arrived at the school to play against us.  They hadn't told Mr Yoxall they would be coming so it was all a bit of a rush.

We had to hurry to get into our kit whilst they warmed up..  We got changed and started warming up for the match; passing, dribbling and shooting.  We went to our positions and got the kick off.

We started by going 1-0 down but we brought it back to 1-1.  GOAL!  We scored again to make it 2-1.  Sadly they brought it back to 2-2 but we scored another to give us a one goal lead at half time.  Kerri and William, our great defenders, saved us from giving them another goal.  Our goalkeeper Raman made some incredible saves but they slipped one past him right at the end of the game.  We were so close to scoring another!  It hit the crossbar and then fell into their goalkeepers hands!

When the whistle was blown for full time we shook hands with the opposition.  We drew 3-3 and that was the fifth game we have played.  Our match record is 4 wins and 1 draw.  This was the first drawn game of the season for Chambersbury, meaning we are still unbeaten.
