The school day ended on Friday 27th March and the children and staff started to make their way home for the weekend. Year 4, however, stayed... They were about to embark on their BIG sleepover, taking over the school for the night!!
During the evening, we played a number of games, went for a walk across the fields and then arrived back at school for some dinner and a bonfire! After toasting marshmallows (and taking over Mr Taylor's office), we settled down to watch a film.
We eventually all got off to sleep and were up (very) early, raring to go on Saturday. After breakfast, we packed up our things and went to play some more games in the hall which included a dodgeball tournament with the 4 staff -vs- the 24 students (and then everyone -vs- Mr Maher!!). Parents; ask your children who won...!
Everyone made it home safely at the end, even if a little worn out after such a busy week!
I thought that the sleepover was brilliant because we got to go to the huge field near our school. We also got to have a bonfire and, we had marshmallows on sticks. Thanks to Andre's cakes we all fell asleep and in the morning we woke up bright and early.
Thanks to all the teachers for having a great night."
