This week at school, Years 4, 3 and 2 performed a play of Jack and the Beanstalk. Everyone knows the story, but this one was Roald Dahl's version which had some naughty bits. For example Jack being beaten up with a vacuum cleaner and the cow being as old as Mr Taylor!!
Everyone did a fantastic job in learning all of the songs and lines they needed to act out. There were some spell-binding performances including Jack, who had lots of lines to learn, and even the three horrible aunties who were grumptastic. The Giant was brilliant and very scary!!!
Our last performance happened on Wednesday evening when over 120 people came to watch the play. Mr Stack, our Chair of Governors came to watch and told us that "the whole play was an amazing experience".
Well done to everyone who took part and thank you to the adults for making all of the scenery and helping us to shine.
I can't wait for the next play we do!
