Macbeth

During Autumn term, Year 5 study William Shakespeare's tragedy, Macbeth. 

We studied the play and got to understand some of the tricky Shakespearean language - we even got to insult our teacher using Shakespearean insults (Thou art a goatish, apple bobbing foot licker!) The main characters that we focused on were Macbeth, Lady Macbeth and the Three Witches. Through drama and role play we got to understand the character's motivations and why they made some of the choices that they did.
