Music Maker Challenge - Monday 15th June 2020

This week we want to put your music skills to the test. Can you make a homemade musical instrument? Can you use it to play a famous lullaby? Click on the link below to find our more information. Baby Bird Watch Challenge - Monday 8th June 2020

Last week we had a very exciting delivery to school - duck eggs! They have now hatched and have become the cutest ducklings in the world. This is the time of year when lots of eggs are hatching and baby birds are taking their first flight. We want you to put your bird watching skills to good use and see if you can spot any baby birds in your area. Take a look at the document below for more information and pictures of the ducklings! 

Picture Postcard Challenge - Monday 1st June 2020

We would love to know what you have all been up to this half term! Design your own postcard and send it into school. If you can't send it in, take a picture of both sides of your postcard and send it into us at teachers@chambersbury.herts.sch.uk

One World Week Flag Challenge - Monday 18th May 2020

This weeks challenge is linked to our One World Week. We would like you to recreate the flag of your country that you are learning about. The countries we are focusing on are:

Nursery/Reception-Australia

Year 1 -Italy

Year 2 - Brazil

Year 3 - Nepal

Year 4- Egypt

Year 5 - Mexico

Year 6- Japan

You could use food/toys/objects from around your house.

Maybe you could even make a flag of another world country too!

Book Cover Challenge - Monday 11th May 2020

It's time for your latest challenge and this one is so good that even your teachers have had a go! We are challenging you to recreate the front cover of your favourite book. Time to get creative and use all things lying around your house (an umbrella, a frying pan, face paint, a cat?!) to recreate a book cover of your choice. Great British Bunting Challenge - Monday 4th May 2020

On Friday 8 May 2020 Britain will be commemorating the 75th anniversary of VE Day. Although many celebrations have had to be postponed, your challenge this week is to make your own special VE Day 75 ‘Great British Bunting’ to display in your window at home. Time Capsule Challenge - Monday 27th April 2020

 

This week we wanted to find a way to capture what is going on in the world at the moment and create something that we can look back on in the years to come. We are living through history! By creating a time capsule, you can show future generations (maybe even your own children or grandchildren!) what it was like to be a child at this time. Easter Egg Competition Winner! 

Thank you all for sending in your fantastic Easter egg designs! We were so impressed with your creativity and your tributes to the NHS. After looking at all the wonderful entries, we have decided on our winners and have sent an Easter egg to their homes (before any of the teachers could eat them!).

Our winners are: Mitchell, Leo, Morgan, Malika, Bayleigh, Anabelle and Jonah. 

Well done to all those that sent in your creations and keep up all the hard work!
