Year 4 Tag Rugby

Year 4 Tag Rugby Pool Stages Tournament

Mr Yoxall arranged and organised for Year 4 to play the Tag Rugby League fixtures all as one afternoon this year, rather than lots of separate games.  This meant that there were 6 schools at Chambersbury for the event, along with Sports Leaders from Kings Langley to officiate.

This was part of the DSSN Tag Rugby league for Year 4.  Chambersbury offered to host the event to ensure that in a very busy school schedule we could get all the games played.  This offer was taken up by Leverstock Green, South Hill, George Street, Brockswood and Micklem.  This gave us a whole afternoon of Tag fixtures to be played!

Year 4 were being coached by Mr Walker this year (who is a rugby coach) so they were in good hands with their skills.  They had also had a number of coaching sessions after school in the build up to the big event!

The afternoon went well with the school managing to avoid any nasty weather and playing in the dry all afternoon!

There were some very strong sides from South Hill and George Street who were scoring lots of tries in all their games.

Unfortunately for Year 4 they have not progressed any further with their results at this tournament but they have gained some vital experience and knowledge prior to other tournaments this year.  Well played to them all.

Ofsted 2017 - Chambersbury is a "GOOD" school. "Pupils are very proud of their school"
