Wednesday:

House Football Tournament

Wednesday was our House Football Tournament for this half term.

It was worked out that there would be three teams per house playing over a variety of pitches.  We had our outstanding panel of referees (Mrs Chapman, Mr Maher and Mr Swift) calling the games and making sure that everyone was involved.  Each teams house colour gave them a country to play on behalf of.  For example one of our green teams was Cameroon.  We also had Costa Rica, Portugal, France, USA and many other countries represented.

In true world football fashion we even had a penalty shoot out to decide the semi final winners!

The final came down to the Yellows of Costa Rica vs the Blues of France.  It was the yellows who prevailed and won the game by 2 goals to nil.

We also ran a small circuit session for Key Stage One whilst some of the competition was going on.  This included skills like shooting, passing and tackling.  After they had finished their little circuit KS1 then came up tot he field to watch and support the final.
