The Great Fire of London

On Tuesday 30th January the Fire and Rescue Service visited Year One. The firefighters talked to us about the equipment that they use to rescue people from a fire. They also taught us about fire safety and answered many of our questions. As our topic this Spring Term is the Great Fire of London, the firefighters set fire to our Tudor houses that we had built in our DT lessons. The fire started at Thomas Farriner’s bakery and ended in Pie Corner, just like in 1666! We had an amazing time and learnt so many new things.
