The Amazing Amazon

We have been learning about Julianne koepke, who was the only survivor when the plane she was travelling in crashed. Julianne was just 17 years old. We wrote about the days after her crash and then biographies.



During our Amazon topic we looked at Bernard the lion who wanted to be the king of the Amazon, read our stories to see if he succeeded to the throne……


Amazon art

Over 3 afternoons we were put in to different groups and took part in 3 different art activities we had a great time painting frogs, gluing collages and sewing animals here are some photos of our work.








Animal fact file.

As a class we looked at lots of different animals you may find in the Amazon. Here is some of the fact file of our favourite ones.



Over a week we studied deforestation this included writing a newspaper article and completing maths word problems.



During our Amazon topic we looked at the River Glog and the Amazon River. We had to write a letter to Mrs Mason to persuade her that the Amazon River was the best.
