Healthy Living Week
Healthy Living Week this year ran between the 22nd of June and the 26th of June. It is designed to engage our pupils both physically and mentally, with many different challenges and physically demanding activities on offer.
The purpose of Healthy Living Week is to better educate our students about the benefits of Healthy Living and also the wide range of sports that they can participate in should they choose to. We had a whole school Fitness Circuit on Monday which ensured every child started their week with high activity levels. We also had Try A Sport sessions designed to show pupils some different sports which they may not have tried before.
During the week all our children also took part in a Healthy Living workshop run by Mr Yoxall. This looked into aspects of nutrition and how our food can effect our lifestyle.
The culmination of the week was Sports Day in which every student had the chance to take part in a morning carousel of activity followed in the afternoon by the running races!
