Autumn 2 - Natural Disasters

Our first Geography topic covers Natural Disasters (mainly looking at how destructive the weather can be).  The children will study a variety of disasters and look at the impact on people and the environment.  They will write explanations about what causes weather disasters to start.  We will study some famous disasters like Hurricane Katrina and the local flooding to hit the UK.

This topic builds upon Year 3 work  based on volcanoes however we will look at the geography of the world and where natural disasters are more likely to happen.
