Art Week 2016

Eric Carle

During Art Week 2016, Year 2 have been looking at the work of Eric Carle. You may recognise him from stories such as The Very Hungry Caterpillar or The Bad Tempered Ladybird. 

He uses a special collage technique using painted tissue paper to create his designs.

 

 

We looked at the illustrations in 'The Artist who Painted a Blue Horse'

 

In the story the  artist creates lots of different coloured animals using his imagination. Imagine if horses were blue!
